Kaelyn is a 9 year old girl with a passionate heart for Jesus. Kaelyn enjoys reading, spending time with family, and is a peer leader-helping her friends from school or church work through conflicts and develop strong friendships. Kaelyn is always eager to try new activities like gymnastics and volunteering for the homeless or for senior citizens. This is Kaelyn’s first published book which celebrates her devotion and dedication to God and to her love for others.

Nicolya is a mother, best-selling author, and personal development coach. As a coach, she divides her time between empowering women one on one and motivating groups of women through master classes. Talitha Simeona-Stewart | Emerald’s Eyes

The Write the Book Now guest, Thursday, February 1, 2018, is Talitha Simeona-Stewart.

As the sixth child of seven, Talitha was born in a poor and crowded home. Always trying to escape from the chaos, she retreated to imaginary worlds through old black and white movies and books.

Growing up, she thought she would be creating designs for the runways of Paris, Milan and New York. Her fashion dream was not realized because, at the age of  16, she became the mother of a beautiful daughter, Phonjuli Chanel.

Working as a volunteer for the local health clinic, she was introduced to young women with traumatic lives. She didn’t think her life’s work would be helping others. After graduating high school, she eventually began working as a community service assistant at a young adolescent pregnancy program clinic and school-based clinic in a high school; Her passion for helping grew. It was there she was able to work with teenage mothers who shared similar struggles.

While she has one of the best mothers in the world, college was never something talked about in her home. However working with professionals and educators, she knew she wanted more for my daughter and herself. Her five-year goal was to complete her education.

She attended Hofstra University while working full-time and received her bachelor’s in Psychology and Masters in Education in seven years.

After relocating from Long Island to Maryland, she became an educator for Prince George’s County Public Schools in Maryland.

Educating and helping others has been a fulfilling part of her life along with her husband, Ernest, her children, grandchildren and her church.
